ETS2: Super Stripes Paint Jobs Pack

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator important releases by SCS Software take time to reach the market, and the Czech studio knows this. It is not they taking too long, being inactive or working slowly. It just that quality takes time, and SCS refuses to release low-quality content, whether they are DLC’s, Packs or Vehicles, they seem to follow the motto: “It’s done when it’s done!”. Unfortunately, there are too many trucksim community members not understanding this.

However, there is some other “minor” content, which is faster to create and can satisfy the most impatient fans between major releases. Simultaneously, this content can enrich the structure of the games, offering more customization options to players while fighting natural saturation. No less important remain the fact that these contents generate revenue because sometimes we get the feeling that some fans tend to forget that SCS is a company, and companies live by selling and invoicing.

SCS Software indeed presented an example of this “minor” content releasing the Super Stripes Paint Jobs pack! Please note that this is not just another skin pack, this one features a new system they been testing, with a predefined colour preset alongside a fully customizable colour palette.

According to the SCS blog post: “these new unique and colourful designs have been hand-crafted by the talented artists here at SCS Software and chosen for their stylish look.” and yes, I really like some of them, while others… dah, not really!

SCS also explained that this new colouring system “allows several alternate colour combinations in addition to the default one upon choosing the paint job.” It means the player will have a wide range of possible options in each skin, being able to choose, adjust and seamlessly combine several colour combinations. Creativity will have no limits!
